Daniel arturis -the good detective
The man behind The Bar Noir, with quite the vivid resume. Folks know him for his past in the Lominsian underground circuit as a boxer under the monker of 'Rainmaker', along with his current gig as a relatively infamous private investigator around Ul'dah. (Yes, it's very much related to his business cards being littered all around town.)
Silas carver -
The sterling shield
One of Dan's close friends since his time in the circuit, an upstart orphan who forged his own path doing any kind of job he could get his hands on, earning himself the informal title of 'Ul'dah's handyman'. He may come off as shy at first, but can be quite chummy and honest once he lets his guard down. He also happens to have a few underground contacts (if you're in the market for something that isn't neccesarily legal).

The Bar Noir boasts its lucrative and wide collection of liquor on standby, one large enough to be daunting in it's own, but also most likely to have your go-to pick, regardless of how obscure it may be.-Please note that there are more drinks available than listed below, consult the barkeep for your choice.-Bar SpecialtiesRainmaker Ale
This blend of ale was first concocted by a legendary brewmaster - Edric Arturis. The man also left the recipe as a gift to his son. The flavour profile of this drink has hints of sweetness and deep malty notes of walnut, toffee, and dark fruits.Bukyo Sake
A rare and sought-after Hingan export, this Sake is served hot in a small ceramic bottle, small cups provided along with for the customer to pour at their own leasure.Mead with love
A fruity and honeyed blend of mead that the owner had concocted and aged before crossing paths with his partner, the blend as old as their love. This barrel has been lovingly aged for four years, the liquor within packing as much heat and strength as their bond.Hard Coffee
Freshly ground locally sourced coffee, with a splash of liquor. Variants available are:
Lominsian coffee (Dark Rum)
Gridanian coffee(Hazelnut Liqueur)
Ul'dahn coffee(Cold brewed with heavy cream and coffee liqueur)Palm Wine
Sap of a palm tree fermented inside an island coconut shell. Far more potent than wine made from grapes. An easy go-to drink for those craving a taste of The Cieldalaes.Cursed Tequila
Manufactured from a crop of Agave that was cursed by a local Amalj'aa due to a small misunderstanding regarding territory. Rather than starting from scratch and replanting the crops, they continued to manufacture this rather potent and 'flavourful' beverage. (If you do order this drink, you will need to roll above a 13 to not be overwhelmed.)CocktailsThe Manderville Sour
A rather extravagant drink, Three-barrels Bourbon, mixed with simple syrup, an egg white and lemon juice, shaken and strained over rocks and garnished with bitters. A personal favourite of a certain individual who may or may not visit from time-to-time.The Lady In White
A fluffy, dessert-eque cocktail that can be enjoyed with a spoon. The drink earnt it's name after being compared to Kan'e Senna's white garb. Gin and walnut liqueur, along with a pinch of lemon juice, and a heaping of lemon curd and egg white into to a cocktail shaker along with ice. Shaken vigorously, then served in a martini glass before being lightly toasted.Menphina's Tears
An experimental drink that the barkeep's still working on perfecting. Blue cherry blossom liqueur, mixed with Ishgardian vermouth over ice, garnished with a small amount of dark blue tear shaped jellies at the bottomThe Blackest Night
One of the bar owner's signature drinks. Barrel aged Tequila mixed with wildberry liqueur and lime juice, topped with a spicy ginger beer in an old fashioned glass.Second Mate
A tried and true reliable Lominsian mixer. Pineapple juice & Pineapple rum. Sometimes a good thing doesn't need much more than that.White Garlean
A recent addition to the bar's menu due to the influx of it being requested. Coffee-infused liqueur and Garlean Vodka come together, accented with a locally sourced cream atop it, served on the rocks in a shortgrass.Non-alcoholic beveragesCrimson Behemoth: A caffeinated beverage made with a blend syrup extracted from a Turali fruit known as guarana, mixed into a carbonated water originally concocted by the illuminati known as fizzbubble. This drink is known to re-energize those who partake of it.Coffee: (flat white, long black, cappuccino, latte, affrogato, mocha and hot chocolate)Teas available: Black, Chamomile, Matcha, Gelmorran Herbal, Berry blend & Oldrose (both can be ordered hot or chilled)Juice: Grape, Pineapple, La Noscean Orange, Apple & Tropical
